AccuTest Troponin I test is a rapid immune-chromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of cardiac Troponin I (cTnI) in human Whole Blood, Serum or Plasma, as an aid in the diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction in emergency room, critical care, point-of-care, and hospital settings. The AccuTest Troponin I rapid test provides a qualitative analytical test result and monitors the changes, either the rise or fall in the concentration of cTnI with single testing. Changes in the level of cardiac Troponin I can be concluded only with serial testing. Multiple testing’s recommended for AMI monitoring, The test results should be interpreted by the physician in conjunction with other test results and patient clinical findings.

The AccuTest Troponin I test employs a solid phase chromatographic immunoassay technology to qualitatively detect the elevation of Cardiac Troponin I Human Serum/Plasma/Whole Blood samples. When a sample of blood is dispensed in to the sample well, red blood cells are removed by the built in separation system. Troponin I (cTnI) in the specimen makes a complex with the specific dye conjugate and biotinylated anti- Troponin I antibody. This complex migrates through the Test area containing immobilized Streptavidin. The antibody dyeTroponin I- biotinylated antibody complex binds to the immobilized streptavidin on the Test line. The unbound dye complexes if any move further on the membrane and are subsequently immobilized at the Control line forming a colored band.
